Nice- you can quote between threads. That’s cool

Anyway, in responses to @Victoria M oost about stocking, here’s mine

Have
Pair onyx perculas clown (CJ and Craig)
Pink spot goby (annabeth)
Magnificent foxface (Michael J)
Purple Tang (Santos)
Dispar Anthia x1 (Danny Kilcannon)

Currently in QT:
Mccoskers flasher wrasse
Carpenters flasher wrasse
Midas blenny

Currently vacationing at ‘The Farm’. Badly missed:
Yellow tang (Bartlet)
Randals Goby (Toby)

Want
6-7 more Dispar anthias (The press core)
Ruby red dragonet - pair of possible
Green mandarin- pair if possible
Pygmy hawkfish
3rd flasher or a fairy wrasse

Another 6-7” swimming fish- thoughts? Originally planned for a PBT but kinda went off them a bit. Yellow eye kole tang but want something with an impact of color. desjardini sailfin tang- got cool patterning

A Yellow eye kole tang with great coloring, strong stripes and and vivid yelow eye rings is classy and attractive but like a nice pinstripe suite.
I’ve yet to find one that had that amazing yellow eye ring. I know it’s probably down to shipping stress etc but I haven’t found one I ‘love’ yet

So, I’m getting a little bored with scraping the side panel with the overflow piping. Kinda cramped in there

Just now, I saw this thread and it got me thinking!

Coat the side panel and overflow with cyphastrea or encrusting montipora.

I love Superman montipora, mystic sunset montipora (cool color flip on those two). Not familiar with cyphastrea but I’m sure there are some awesome color forms

That stinks because mine is vivid. Purple/brown with pinstripes and crazy bright yellow eye rings. Hope you find one.

Your Farm list is short compared to our's. It hurts to think back about all the poor dudes we tried to save from the LFS. We can only hope they had a better time with us, rather than with someone less knowledgeable ... if I can be so bold.

Kole tang is a great looking fish. Our's had lots of personality, but turned into a big turd towards out starry blenny. I eventually had to evict Ziggy the yellow eye dude.
He went through our QT with a massive Ich infestation and is currently residing in a fellow reefer's tank, happily grazing and being a big fatso !

How is Craig doing these days? You nursed him back to health after the return pipe incident, right? That's what I remember anyways!

He is doing awesome!! Thanks for asking. He’s eating just as well as he usually did, and hanging out with CJ as normal.

I have noticed a small uptick in nightly vocalisation between the clowns, but that may be due to environmental factors rather than him compensating for lack of sight

That's excellent news! Keep us all posted with the TTM method and your Midas Blenny and Wrasse's!

Will do

THey are doing great! I actually just dropped some live baby brine shrimp in there, and I’ve never seen a more robust feeding response in QT ever.

Bodes very well for the upcoming dragonet QT

I also started prepping for white worm and grind all worm cultures- which arrive this week

How does one attach a coral to the back wall, just with super glue?

Pretty much, yes.

Just leave them on the plug so you have a greater surface area for the glue.

If you use a small dab of glue to attach additional plugs around it, you can pull them off when they encrust- instant frags!

So white worms and phyto turned up 4 days early- so it’s been a bit of a scramble to get them set.

I pulled a few of the white worms from culture, rinsed in rodi, then dropped them in TTM3 - they hadn’t gone down 1-3rd of the tank before the little mccoskers homes in on the big one and slurped it down like a piece of spaghetti.

He let the carpenters have 3-4 smaller ones. Even the Midas blenny got in on the action and grabbed a couple

Great updates! How exciting on the worms and brine shrimp.
Yeah- my PhytoFarm has turned into a full blown fast food farm to table smorgasbord... it needs a bunch of work still since the leds I bought get stupid hot but I needed to get things running again.

Phyto, 2 types of pods, baby brine shrimp, brine shrimp grow out since I can feed phyto, grindal worms, white worms.

That’s more variety than my diet lol. Tacos, Chinese, Korean.

So are grindal worms white worms?
THey are like a miniature cousin of the white worm. Get to around 1/8th inch I think. White worms can get to like 1.5”.

Very similar culture Conditions. Coco fibre base, keep wet (for white) moist (grindal). Feed oats fortified with nutritional yeast. I got a temperate white worm strain so I can keep them at warm room temp- otherwise you apparently need a wine chiller.
