Transfer day for Goldie tje modas blenny. She jumped out of the acclimation box before I got the lid on, so there’s that. Found herself a nice little hollow in the rock and is poking her head out a mm more at a time

She’s a beaut. Maybe 4”, bright yellow when she is relaxed and sways like an eel when she swims. C took to her immediately- “so beautiful- my best friend fish”.

So- C has strep. Again. Second time on 15 days. Uugghh

Trying to convince my physician to prescribe me another course of amoxicillin, since my last dose was yesterday (k and T still taking theirs). Refused on grounds that they don't prescribe prophylactic antibiotics. Told him "I guess I'll see you Friday when I get strep again".

You'd think for something as infectious as strep throat, they'd use some discretion and make a judgement call in favor of the patient.

Uugghh.

I pulled my 'bio phd' card and we talked about my training pre-med and first year med students microbiology and vaccine strategies, and still no dice.

That's when I went to front desk and scheduled an appointment for Friday afternoon.

Sucks to burn gas and have to make the trip, but Doc knows best I guess

I believe she should turn really yellow once she is comfortable

Mine would change colors frequently. Yellow, orange, blue, pink, purple, a rainbow of color.

And my first bad guy. Literally, my first aiptasia. In QT, thankfully, so I'll pop him before the duster heads upstairs. He's hiding inside The duster tube

So- Is it pretty much a done deal that where there is One aiptasia, there's a bunch? Because I tried plucking him out but he is actually inside the duster tube. Retracted way in there. Worried I'll leave a fragment and it'll grow back, pen it gets peeved And buds all over the place

Got some goodies... for the macro fuge build

20lbs of aquamaxx reefsaver rock

Thinking of building a little retaining wall in the back 1/3rd of the section and adding a 6" sandbed for deep rooted stuff (or garden eels...) and a cool rock face effect like this

And, for @Victoria M - figured I'd try a 10 week course and see how it goes

And guess who tested positive for his second bout of strep throat in 3 weeks? Second round of amoxicillin. But I'm feeling something in my lungs too, which has me a little concerned. It's possible I'm going to go getting a chest MRI next week if it doesn't clear up

This will be pretty cool. Sand never stays where you want it to though. LOL
