I made my first order with Fishy Business Aquatics. I ordered Pintail Fairy wrasse and Crescent Tail Fairy Wrasse.
Order Process: I really like their notification system. They sent you email and text message as your tracking updates so you do not have to manually check tracking so often.
Shipping: They packed their fish very well. It is one of the best packing I've seen. A lot of air and good size bags. I requested a specific date to have my fish delivered and the shipment came on time.
Livestock: I am 50% happy with the livestocks. Pintail wrasse I received is beautiful and good size. It ate the next day. He is still doing very well in my QT. Crescent tail wrasse I received was much smaller than I would have liked. It came with slightly beat up fins and died Sunday morning (I received the fish on Friday). I knew he wasn't going to make it by Saturday evening. Fishy Business Aquatics only offers DOA with options to purchase extended warranty at additional cost. However, it was around $68 for an additional warranty, so I ended up not getting it. Therefore, I ended up paying for an expensive fish which I only had it for 1.5 days.
Will I order again?: Maybe, although, I really like their communication and packaging. I am not sure if I will risk again with a just DOA guarantee. Unlike buying a fish from LFS where you can see the actually specimen you are purchasing. Online order can be hit or miss and sometimes you just end up with a fish that is not going to do well. I can purchase their extended warranty, but I will have to do some math to make sure that their price is still competitive after purchasing the warranty.
