Fishy Nickname Thread

Does anyone have names for their fish or have kids that like to name their fish? If so, list them here.

I'll start by saying our daughter named our 6-line Wrasse "Skittles" because it has many colors of the rainbow.

Our Black Combtooth Blenny, well it's name is "Bob" because it sits there bobbing up and down like it's jammin' to some music.

Our Purple Firefish is named "Mr. Grins" because it always has that frown appearance.

One more for now... Our old Hippo Tang was named "Feecee" because it was always eat it's own feces... YUM!!!

My wife loves naming our fish. My bi color angel see named Mardi, as in Mardi Gras, because he looked like he had a mask on.

My son named our two chromis Mario and Luigi. The blue hippo is of course Dori.

My wife stopped naming fish after they died from an ich outbreak 2 years ago. I do however still have one lone survivor from that. It was the melenurus wrasse. His name is Jerry. Named after Jerry Garcia because he has a lot of colors like tye-dye t-shirts brah...

My female clownfish came with the name Larry. The two chromis are Huey and Louie. We lost Dewey last year. The potters is Fireball and the urchin is spike. Spike now resides in the fuge due to bad behavior.

My wife decided all fish would have rockstar names, starting with the tang gang: Sailfin-Bowie, Vlamingi-Bonnie Raitt, Purple- Scott (Weiland), Yellows- Chris and Martin, Foxface- Beyonce, Pseudochromis- Prince, Cleaner shrimp- Bruno...think I'm missing some but it's basically the Hall of Fame in my tank. :rockon:

Powder Blue = Jelly
Sailfin = Sally
Kole = Kolbe
Flasher Wrasse = The Flash
Blueside Wrasse = Blue (as in, "You're my boy, Blue!")
pair of Nemerus Chromis = Romulus and Remus
Occ. Clown = Bert (lost Ernie a couple years ago)
Diamond Goby = Harry Winston
Peppermint Shrimp = Pep
Longspine Urchin = Pita (hitchhiker)

My girlfriends 16 year old went through and named all 19 fish this weekend, I'm not even going to pretend to know them all.

SA Naked clown "pair" are Adam and Eve. The Copperband is Copper. Blue Spot Jaw is Bob (the Builder.) Yellow Tang is Spike. Blue Star Wrasse is Diamond.

I don't generally name my fish but I have called my clownfosh a few names when she zooms in and bites me between the fingers while I'm doing something in the tank. This is a family friendly site so I won't repeat them here.

Picasso Clown - Nemo (big surprise on that name!)
Banggai Cardinal - Kitty Kitty
2 Blue Damsel - Oscar (both named the same cause he can't tell the difference between the two of them)

We have a Green Spotted Mandarin that we named Nancy. She has been with us though the progression of our tanks - starting with a 29 gallon biocube in 2008, then a 65 gallon in 2013, and just recently into the 180. She is by far our most beloved fish. And, she is fat and happy eating frozen food like a champ!

Mine are just basic names lol...
Hermit crab - Crabby
Chromis - Cromey
Firefish - Fire
Bangai - Bang
Cleaner shrimp - Shrimpy
Clown fish - Mrs Nemo (cause she is not a he) and Nemo-less (has broken stripe)
Goby - Goby
