Hello,

I was planning on buying some NFG powder from Fishy Pharmarcy and saw all the other medications that I should probably bulk up on.

I was just curious for the QT pros, what would you stock up on for your process? I was thinking several different types of antibiotics such as kana, metro, and tetracycline... add NFG as a broadbase treatment, some praziquantel for flukes and intestinal worms... Anything else?

Would be nice to get some true, pure chloroquine phosphate as well.

The NFG powder is a very good wide spectrum antibiotic. However, kanamycin is another good one more easily absorbable by the fish's skin.

I would also buy some metro... and prazi (unless you plan on just using Prazipro). Their "Acriflavine Neutral Power" is good for bath treatments, to provide temporary relief of velvet & brook. However, you can buy "Ruby Reef Rally" which is basically the same thing but already in a liquid stock solution.

Don't go too overboard, as many of these products have a shelf life. ;)

If your planning on adding many fish in the near future then stocking up could be ok, just dont get tons of each. You dont want them to go bad on you. Metroplex, Kanaplex, Furan 2, Focus, Prazi or General Cure (which is both metro and prazi). Ruby reef rally, as mentioned, is good to have around. Coppersafe if you need to use copper for something like velvet or ick.
I dont plan on having any more fish so I dont have a stock pile of these things. I have what's left from adding fish though just in case my current fish end up with something and need to be treated. It just depends on your stocking plans.

Good point guys. My next question was shelf life but it looks like they aren't active forever. I think I'll just order some NFG and Furan and call it a day. The rest I can get pretty reasonably in town when needed to not waste ordering them and having them expire.
