i dont understand, if the leak is above the sump, then why do you have to remove a wall. cut the 45 out and replace with a new 45 a 2 couplers.
as mentioned above JB weld works wonders. i used it many times even to fix a drip in my house water supply at 50 psi. lasted for years and sold the house.
It would be necessary to reach everything. The plumbing runs from bulkheads on the back of the tank down to the sump. The tank is close enough to the wall that to remove the plumbing (from the unions I thoughtfully put in place) would mean removing a section of drywall. I have long arms, but not that long lol.
Fortunately, the E6000 experiment seems to have been 100% successful and the leak is stopped. That stuff is really viscous so it stayed in place and sealed it nicely.
