So I have Eshopps first gen psk100h skimmer for about 6 years now and this things been a workhorse and gets cleaned every 3 months. I've never dropped it or banged it around dang things mint except for a crack inside the collection cup.

Well during a routine cleaning I went to unscrew the pump and the piece they glued into the pump out take snapped clean off and was wondering if it could be fixed OR if I can mod it since customer service told me I'm on my own. They're on their fourth gen HOB so they no longer carry replacement parts for this skimmer. I definitely do not have the money to buy another HOB with Christmas coming and a litter of kids lol.

So, any thoughts?

You could try liquid epoxy to glue it back on. I would wait a full day for it to cure before placing back into the tank. Personally, I've even tried using epoxy underwater to fix a broken sump glass baffle before, with the wet epoxy curing underwater, and my livestock were okay, skimmer was just a bit active during the curing.

That should work. The pinwheel in my pump for my omega became separated from the shaft. I ordered a replaced and used superglue to reconnect it while I waited for replacement to arrive. That occurred a year ago and I still haven’t put the new in yesterday.

This stuff is the best i’v ever used. They got the name exactly right, amazing goop. Takes a couple of days to fully dry. Available all over. Homecheapo, whatever

Used pvc glue, sealed it and let it sit for a few days with water in the pump. Thing's bone dry so today I'm going to mount it back on and water test the whole thing. Sloppy but made sure there were no openings at all.
