fixing scratches

I've wasted alot of time on glass, polishing and buffing, mostly with cerium oxide, with no great results. it did help make the glass pretty clear and clean but mostly just surface stains, it can't touch the smallest shallowest scratch and just gets stuck in the deep ones.

on an off note, cerium oxide may be reef safe im not 100% sure but I know I didn't get every little speck of it out when I cleaned up the mess I made from polishing, there was still residue under the rim, edges of the silicone and places i didnt see and i turned that tank into a successful reef tank.

wait i know a master chemist! @Randy Holmes-Farley ? do you know if cerium oxide is reef safe?? ;)
