fixing the neptune ato magnet

i cannot fix the outside magnet part of the neptune ATO on back of sump because glass is right up against the cabinet and cannot pull sump away because of downpipes going into sump!
can i fix all the magnet on glass partisan inside sump as means the magnet will get wet! will it rust and put metals into water? the magnet looks well sealed with just thin rubber strip on outside!

I've often wondered about the Neptune magnets myself. I know the Red Sea ones can, but they also have a rubberized coating on them. I think the only one who could give you a definitive answer is Neptune.
