LFS has one in stock which is eating frozen mysis. This angel has always been on my radar but I have never seen one for sale in my area before. Im looking for people who have kept this fish before and maybe able to provide me with some insight to their success. I know they can be difficult to get eating but anything else Im missing into the difficulty level with these guys? It would be going into a FOWLR 180 as the only large angelfish. I have multiple foods on hand including ocean nutrition angelfish blend large and dwarf, LRS, Rods, spirulina brine, hikari and PE mysis and just about anything else you can think of. I would QT and run through 4 weeks CP and 2 rounds of Prazi.

Glad you asked, I've been waiting for the opportunity to brag about mine. I highly recommend a 75g for a qt, absolutely nothing less than a 55g, these guys do not take being cramped AT ALL. Treat for parasites, start your prazi pro immediately; then after he's eating really well, do a round of metro/focus mixed in the food. Don't fret too much if he's not a big pig in qt, as long as he is consistently eating. These guys really take off when they get into the dt with more room and other fish; getting them through qt is the trick. Mine loves live black worms and really eats anything and everything I put in the tank. Clams, chopped up scallop and shrimp, ocean nutrition cubes cut into bite size pieces, pe mysis, jimbo's, etc... Love this fish, this pic does not do him justice, the yellow is like a metallic yellow.

Beautiful flagfin lion king. I picked mine up tonight and put him in a 55g QT. Added some food and he ate right away and he's now picking around the tank. I will give him 2-3 days to settle in then begin the prazi. Thank you for the insight!
