Hi all
Looking for the creative guys out there to help me on an auto feeder problem. I'm going on a trip and planned having my Eheim auto feeder dispense food down the Eheim chute twice a day so I just need to bother a friend a couple of times instead of everyday.

What I noticed is that the flake food keeps floating and won't sink, probably because there's not enough surface agitation inside the chute. The chute is about 1.5" deep from the water level. Any idea to make the food sink? Power head is not helping, as it won't make the water move inside the chute...

Any input is appreciated!

As @dbl linked above, you could simply purchase a feeding ring, but they are easy to make. I used a piece of tubing and a little piece of dowel, and a couple suction cups.....

This ring goes directly below the feeder and keeps flake (floating) food form directly getting sucked down the overflow. Allows the fish to get to it and feed.
