I bought a frag of flame algae from a fellow forum reefer months ago and it is growing like crazy. I keep mine in the fuge. It does not attach to rock or substrate so you need to either glue it down or string it down or let it free float. As far as I know it does not cast spores and I have only seen it grow as a colony or as frags that have been torn off. Tangs eat it up, so I keep mine in the refugium under old pc lights and it grows like crazy. Should grow great under any light. It is really great looking and helps deal with nutrient export. I have no pests that I know of and I have a 180 gallon tank loaded with SPS. I do have asterina stars but they stay on glass or rock not on algae. I will ship for free via USPS two day shipping.
