This guy has been perfectly fine for a month or so until about 2 days ago I noticed he was shrunk up like this. Is this normal or he is dying?

It's hard to get a better picture he's hidden in the back.

Nitrates: 5ppm
Phosphate: 0.05 hanna ULR
Mag 1500 (usually ~1400)
Alk 10
Calcium 480
Salinity 35ppt

It seem to be “water problem”. It does not like the water somehow. Increase pH? How did the Alk got a little high? How do you do water change, replace Alkalinity?
I think the tank water change somehow and stressed the anemone.
Anemones are really sensitive to increase pH IME.

Ok PH did raise quickly recently because I started pulling air from outside into skimmer. Went from 7.9 - 8.2 at the moment. I try to keep my alk around 10ish because the salt I use is 10alk. I am going to switch to a lower salt and slowly lower alk overtime. I use kalk and monitor with apex trident. When alk goes below 10 it doses kalk which in turn helps with ph as well. Once I get different salt I was going to aim for 8.5-9 alk.

I'll monitor him closely but do you think he's too far gone or that he's just very ticked off?

So an update - I removed my marinepure blocks the other day and added a ton of chaeto. My nitrates were around 5 until I just checked them today and they are 150PPM!!! I CHECKED WITH hanna, salifert and api so I know it's right. I immediately put more bio in and dose stability. I think this might be why everything is ticked off!
