My flame angel appears to have ich, I plan on moving it into a QT but I'm concerned that cooper treatment will kill it. I've read flame angels are sensitive to cooper. Does anyone have any advice on how to treat ich on a flame angel? Thanks in advance!

It would be better to put a pic of the fish up then people can have a better guess at what you're dealing with. Unfortunately if you have other fish in the tank, they will also be susceptible to the disease so you would have to remove all fish to the hospital tank for treatment. If it is Ich, have a look into Chloroquine Phosphate treatment instead of copper. In my opinion it is an easier medication to administer without the need for the constant testing that copper treatment requires.

Is this velvet? Didn't realize how bad it was until I zoomed in.

Looks like it to me. I would do a fw dip before moving to a qt to give a little relief.

My last coral beauty i went with CP because i had on hand. But there are plenty of posts on here of dwarf angels doing well in copper. I would do chelated copper as its less harsh and more wiggle room on dosing.

Will be able to give better advice than i can though [emoji4]

Adding @Brew12 and @Humblefish and @bigg this way fully covered [emoji23]

I have some cupramine, do you think it will do the trick or should I purchase some chelated copper instead?

cheleted copper (copper power) therapeutic range is 1.5- 2.5. You should ideally keep it above 1.75 but it gives you more wiggle room than CP. the downside is you don’t have the copper and this is velvet so I’d probably do CP.

That’s velvet, I agree. Use whatever copper you have ASAP. I recommend an acriflavine bath such as ruby reef rally and a freshwater dip for immediate relief.
