Hey guys so I had a new flame angel and had him for just under two weeks and he just died. I did notice that a blue hippo was picking on him and noticed one of his eyes turn really clouded and his fins started for fray so I got him out and tried some treatments well he just died I have some pictures of him his one eye looks like it exploded and fins are still frayed obviously. So I’m just wondering do you think he died from aggression or something bacterial?

Cloudy eye, frayed fins are symptoms of bacterial infection.

Dwarf angels really need very mature tanks to graze upon algaes. Without it they will literally wear themselves out pecking around for food. Is the tank new?

It did seem like every time he did try to eat the blue hippo chased him away and he didn’t want any part of the nori that I put out

Yeah I’ve been wanting one for awhile but have coral so I was stalling then finally decided to do it and this happened. I really think it was due to my blue hippo chasing him around and trying to not let him eat when he wanted too. And that stressed him out and couldn’t get him out fast enough but I want to hear more opinions and see if there’s something else I’m missing
