My flame angel was swimming aroubd fine last couple days and eating fine. Today i noticed him stuck against the oberflow and seems to have some dmg to a fin and a real weak swimmer. I shut off my powerheads but idk if hes gonna be able to survive.

Sorry to hear Pete. Unfortunately it doesn't sound promising. Good luck

Yea he's about gone. I cant figure out what came over him. Thinking maybe got stung by my anemone

Angels are succonknh to velvet a lot right now, the vast majority of them seem to be arriving with it. It’ll often damage the gills long before you see external symptoms. Discoloring is a common symptom, although it could be a number of things. I do agree it does not sound like the fish will make it :(

Was it new to your tank?

I take it the flame did not survive?

Hard to say with a new fish. Certainly could have been velvet, but could also be acclimation/collection stress. Flame angels don't seem nearly as hardy these days as they used to be, which I personally think is about collection practices.

Possibly it could be. I didnt see him this morning so I'm assuming the worse. He was fine the first few days when I bought him. I think I'm just gonna stay with my 3 fish and stock up on corals, unless i fgind a Wyoming white
