I just started adding corals about 2 weeks ago. If you know the name of the second one please let me know.

As you can tell by reading this thread, it is a hit or miss with this fish, and other dwarf angels for that matter.

I have heard of them nipping SPS, Z/Ps, LPS, and Clams... as well as all out biting chunks out of them.

I have heard of them being model citizens. I have heard stories of these model citizens "snapping" one day and then start biting things.

My best advice for all angels (besides the Genicanthus genus) is to put them in a large tank with a lot of established colonies. So if they do decide to nip or bite, the corals will be able to handle it.

how large is your tank!? From a lot that ive read its "boredom syndrome" kindve like us humans when we get bored sometimes we eat. i think the same thing happens with fish especially angels, all the horror stories ive heard were more centered around an angel in a smaller 55 or less tank while the perfect citizens are in a hundred gallons or larger with many tank mates. idk just my .02

Mine was in a 150 gallon fed twice a day and an algae sheet every three days, had it for three years then it went into a rampage and ate several corals, colonies and frags. It mostly went after sps. Was a nightmare to get out too.

this is mine and several zoas that I have, just likes a colony and does not do much damage

Mine is in a 215 and nips at corals all day long. Don't do it!
