Hi. I added a beautiful flame angel 3 days ago to my tank. Have tried all manner of foods to no avail. My tang dominates the nori I put in. Any suggestions?

What foods did you try? I've heard of folks having success with angels with garlic treated foods and blood or black worms.

Are you able to ask the place where you got it from what they fed it? Try putting in two things of nori, one in the open for the tang and the other in a place that the flame angel can get to.

When I was trying to remove the flame angel from my tank, I went down to Publix and got a couple of cherrystone clams. The flame absolutely could NOT resist them and went into the trap after like two days. Maybe you can try that to see if he will start picking at the clams.

What color of nori? My Coral Beauty "prefers" purple. I soak it with Selcon, rubber band it to a small pvc fitting and place it on the bottom "inside of a large pvc fitting". Maybe in this way you can kinda hide it from your tang as others suggested above by feeding the tang on the other end of the tank at the same time.
