My flame angelfish who I have had in my tank for a few weeks is not fattening up well its not super thin but not plump like it should be , any suggestions on how to fatten this little fish up.It likes to eat brine shrimp, flake and my food mix with shrimp ,squid, and locally collected filamentous algaes. Please help me help this little guy.

Be patient. A few weeks isn't that long. Brine shrimp isn't the best unless its been enriched. Try other kinds like mysis. Make sure to also feed seaweed a couple of times a week.

You can try clams or live black worms. I would keep trying to feed a variety and try to feed frequently.

Did you use any de-wormer on her? Many angels come in with internal parasites. Prazipro is a good, safe med that can be used for this. Feed small amounts, often, and she should fatten up with you fairly quickly.

What size tank is it, how long has it been setup, and what are the other inhabitants? Flame Angels are known to be finnicky eaters, especially once new. This is where having it in an established tank with plenty of live rocks for it to pick at all day helps a lot. However once you get one acclimated, it should indeed fatten up overtime.

Well it was in a 29 gal biocube with plenty of rock. 1 year running, I believe it came with an dormate internal parasite that was allowed to take hold when my clown started getting agressive. I was feeding it a varied diet and it didn't fatten up then a fungus appeared and it sort of wasted away :(:(
