Hey All, So I bought the nice flame angel the other day from my LFS who is owned by a buddy of mine. When he was in the tank at the store he looked great, just a little shy. Once I got him home and in the QT I noticed that we was very thin. I tried feeding PE Mysis but got no reaction. Does anyone have any tricks to get these guys to eat? I really want to save him but based on what I see, if he doesnt eat VERY soon he wont be here long. Thanks guys.

Since the fish is thin, it hasn’t been eating for awhile. That means that something is keeping it from eating that is out of your control. If it was eating at the store but not in your tank, you could look for a reason you tank is causing it not to eat…..in this case, there is probably not anything you can do, sorry.
Here is an article I wrote on fish not eating:

Agree with Jay and the only hope MAY be enticers such as Live Brine shrimp or live blackworms which I do not favor as if uneaten can quickly foul water quality and tank

Put nori on a clip and walk away from tank. If you dont have a clip you could rubberband it it to a tiny peice of pvc on some fishing line that you can pull out to change it out. Let him try to eat when you away from tank. But keep trying to feed pellets or frozen a couple times a day.

Your reply to this is very much appreciated. My buddy owns the LFS and he said it was eating. I never actually saw eat so I’m taking him at his word. But thanks again
