I started QT on this angel on Saturday. It was found today stuck to pump. Now laying on side at the bottom of the tank breathing very heavy.

Salinity: 33.0ppt
Ammonia: undetectable with API
Temp 79.9

I am preparing a freshwater dip in case it is needed. It will be temp matched in 10 minutes. Video attached of current behavior. He is twitching and breathing very heavy.

Unfortunately this fish is moribund and has a very low chance of recovery once it reaches this point
Was fish eating last 48 hrs?
Salinity is low.
You can add an air stone for added oxygen but may likely afford no change

It ate the last 48 hours but not well. Picked at pieces that flew past its hidey hole. Wasn't actively swimming through water column for food.

Salinity was low to match salinity of LFS water.

Would a freshwater dip possibly be helpful?

How long was this at the lfs? For new arrivals to the store I usually hold or purchase them then leave at the store 1-2 weeks and make sure they are eating well.

Didn't make it.

I tried a last minute FW dip pH and temp matched RODI. No signs of flukes. Possible velvet but nothing conclusive. Ran to Walmart to replace my broken airpump and was dead when I came back.

Fish was held at LFS for 12 days. Acclimation was 15 minute bag float followed by 30 minute fast drip acclimation at matched salinity 33ppt. Prazipro dosed Monday. Ate well on Sunday and Monday. Hid a lot but ate a little bit Tuesday and Wednesday. Copper Power dosed 24 hours ago.

Also of note: When I added the flame, I also added a blue spot puffer. It got exposed to air cause I was unaware netting was a no-no and that was found dead Sunday morning.

Perhaps the flame took a bite out of the dead puffer before I removed it and got poisoned but it just took a few days to die?

FW dip will stress it more

The dead puffer wouldn't have killed the angel if it bit it, but the puffer dying and the angel dying could be related.

I couldn't tell for certain in the video, but was the angel breathing fast/shallow?

Copper Power is very mild and takes some time to work. I always get the copper up to full dose within 24 hours of getting a new fish, but some people extend that to 72 hours. Any longer than that, and protozoan diseases like velvet can gain a foothold and are then tough to cure.

It was breathing extremely fast. Somewhere in the 120 to 140 bpm range
