I returned from vacation the other day and found my flame angel swimming very oddly. All other fish are fine and tank looks great. I've had the flame angel for a number of years. He's looking a bit thin and is swimming with his head slanted more upright with jerky movements. He's still eating fine. No visible sores, spots, or frayed fins. I'm at a loss for what to do. Anyone have any ideas?

What makes you think of stray current? Tank is 225 gallons with other fish (hippo tang, foxface, chromis, filefish, anthias and more) 4-5 bubbletip anemones and multiple corals. Nothing else seems affected.

it’s the only thing I’ve heard of that has that effect but I’m still new to disease diagnosis

Dwarf angels are not the constant lappers like tangs, wrasse, or anthias. But they are prone to sudden bursts of speed especially when feeding or defending territory. A spinal injury could be at play if see no outward signs of injury. Could have slammed into the glass or a rock. Do you have a video?

Life span of dwarf angels is 5-7 years. Could be aging.
