Oh yeah sorry about that. I don't mean to be that person but unless your flame is a small juvenile they are better off in a larger tank. I had one in my 55 and he did great but the sob ate my pretty clam

Smaller, around two inches.

So I got a flame angel, six days ago. My tank is a 3' 30 gallon, eight months old, all parameters are in check. He spends a lot of time picking at my LR. As of now I feed NLS pellets, and brine on occasion. I think he has eaten a few pieces of brine, and maybe one pellet. Overall doesn't seem to interested though. He is very active, and seems quite healthy. I did not QT him. I'm heading to some fish stores this weekend, (2 hours from me). What should I buy? I'd like new food, vitamins, I'm not sure? I don't know fish very well, more into coral.

I have exact same problem right now with a bi color angel. Won't take pellets, mysis or chopped up raw shrimp. I don't know how to get him to eat. He is heathy otherwise but didn't eat in 3 days.

My flame hardly eats at all. At least not what I feed him. He ignores the pellets from the auto feeder and barely touches the LRS fish frenzy I put in every night.
That said, he is fat and happy. He picks at the rock all day eating algae and I think he is a big time pod hunter. He just seem to prefer hunting for his own food than eating what I feed him.

I just tried the mega marine angel food and struck out with my bicolor Pygmy angel

Bicolor are picky they will only eat clams

Soaked a cube of the marine angel in selcon, and fed it to the tank. Flame angel was chowing down. Just put a small amount of arcti pods in the tank, just to see how the fish would respond. Flame angel went for those as well. Hopefully soon he will start eating pellets. I'm going to start feeding my tank better, they deserve it.

Have you tried spirolina? Or dried red algae sheets?

Make sure it is chopped up very fine. Also try walking away after putting some in tank and peer around corner. May just not east with someone near by.

Update, my flame is a absolute HOG. Eats everything I put in, and as much as he can get. Very active smooth swimmer, definitely my current favorite. We will see if that lasts though, I have a gorgeous melanarus in QT.
