Hey guys,

So I bought a trio of flame cardinal fish from divers den and they’re in my 210 gallon. They seem to be pretty aggressive towards each other but leave everything else alone.

I don’t know how I didn’t do my research prior but oh well. I’m curious if it’s worth getting them out or just leaving them.

They’re listed as aggressive but I don’t know if they’re aggressive towards other fish?

Can anyone help or tell me if they have had any certain experiences with them? My worry isn’t that they’re aggressive towards each other but whether they will be aggressive to new fish.

One will get along fine with your other fish. Very small groups they will constantly harass each other in the group. What's odd is that in the wild they live harmoniously in very large groups. So the thinking is the small confines of the tank create fights over the small territory. Beautiful fish. Really like them.

Two will pr off and kill the third. They will be peaceful with all other fish.

Thank you all! I appreciate all the great insight.

I have a pair in my tank. They are fairly docile and show no aggression except when it’s feeding time! However, if you keep shrimp of any type, they are inclined to eat them. I had peppermints and cleaners eaten in front of me; even though they were in the tank before I added the cardinals.
