I have a hunch he was sick from the start. He was hiding in a rock at the store and also immediately in my tank, rarely came out. I was just unware that was not normal behavior. I learned my lesson and will do my own due diligence from here on.ahh sorry to hear that. flame hawkfish are very hardy generally. mine survived 2 ich outbreaks. may be I got lucky. if you plan to get one again then consider a quarantine regimen. get it eating n fatten it up in QT. use acclimation box and see how other fish react to the new fish.
