My exquisitely beautiful male flame wrasse ate both of my Harlequin Shrimp. The female shrimp went missing and I figured she was either molting or giving birth but after a few days I became worried. Come yesterday during the molt of my male shrimp I spied with my little eye my flame wrasses tearing him a new one. Needless to say I'm extremely heartbroken and I'd like to replace my shrimp, but I'm wondering will the savageness continue?

Well it's your decision, but if it were me, I'd have one or the other now. You can be almost 99.991% assured your wrasse is now a shrimp gourmet. I'd choose which species you'd prefer. FWIW.

That's a little atypical for a Flame wrasse. I've had two and they never bothered any inverts. In fact they were in the lower half of the pecking order in my tank. Agree XNavy if a fish get's a taste for a certain food, there's no reason to think he would change his ways.
