My flame wrasse has what looks like clear poop. I know white stringy is normal internal parasites. But normally they get skinny with this. He looks bloated. Any clue? He is still very active and eats great. No sign of sickness other then the poo and the big belly.

Also this fish was qt with copper prazi and metro in his food that he did eat. So it very weird

Clear poop could be a result of what he’s eating also. You are correct that white stringy poop is typical of internal parasites. What are you feeding him? How long did you QT him and how long did you feed metro for?

I’ve noticed my wrasses get white poop (but not stringy) if they are only eating mysis (when I first get them). Once they are eating a better variety, it starts to look normal. How long did you feed the metro? Was it bound to food with focus?

Also, bloating CAN be a sign of internal parasites as well.

I am feeding pe mysis with chopped up table shrimp and scallops. Once a day then pe pellets twice a day. The tank is full of other fairys and anthias so always feeding a lot.He was qted for about 60 day. 30 says of coper 2 weeks of the metro food and a week of prazi and a week if observation.

Yes it was bound with focus

Do you have GC? It covers a broader range of internal ailments, you could try that for 10 days bound to food. I use two scoops of GC to one scoop of focus.

If you are feeding pellets I would definitely expect some color to his poop.

Yes I do have gc. Just making sure I can do that in my reef tank right.

Also what is really worrying me is his massive stomach.

Yes, as long as it is bound with focus and you only feed small amounts at a time... so most or all is consumed. It doesn’t hurt to throw some carbon your sump during treatment, just in case. You might need to add some garlic for taste if he won’t eat it at first.

Ok I'll give that a try.
