Hi everyone l! I have a flameback angels in my reef and other than my two clowns and chromosomes he bullies every new fish until they die regardless of how big they are. I’ve tried everything, any advice other than taking him out cause he’s my favorite fish

I have also got a flameback angel and all i can say is good luck lol. He was ok for the first few years and then became my most disliked fish in my tank as he likes to nip coral as well now.

They are in time aggressive monsters, that will take all the food, chase others in the tank and even corner occupants. Not nice around non-SPS coral either

Yea that has been my experience too with them.

Killed a bunch of sps frags.

Mine was aggressive to some fish but not all. When they hate on a fish it can be relentless.

Dwarf angels in particular seem to be more aggressive in smaller tanks too.

OP how big is the tank?

I’m at first my 6inch diamond goby would pick on him then they teamed up and that was trouble even for the people who hid under stocks. I got a flasher wrasse who kept jumping away from the flameback then when he hid under the rock my diamond got it. Now my diamond somehow jumped out and I got a new one and my flameback is nipping him and every new fish even the ones twice his size

It’s a 40 gallon, but my multicolor doesn’t pick on anyone he’s pretty calm. And he’s really beautiful for a fish
