Flamethrower ricordea

So when I got into my reef tank one of the first things I bought from my LFS was a flamethrower ricordea. Supposedly they are collected from some island only every 3 or 4 years. I think they were about 30 to 40 dollars per mouth. The owner of the LFS is a great guy and I completely believe him. I was just wondering if anyone has more info on them. Ive seen them around the internet but most are forums on other sites asking the same thing! They grow like crazy too, went from 1 mouth to at least 7 in close to 3 years Yes, I know they dont look too special but I like them and no they are not florida rics . Any info helps! Here are some pictures. Regular and under blues. And these are crappy phone pics sorry!

looks like a florida ricordea to me....a nice ricordea...not yuma for sure...isn't a ricordea only 2 type?a florida and a yuma?unless theres other more types so i don't really know your question....are u asking for a name one?a ricordea that has a name?or where yours came from?

Its called a flamethrower ricordea and its suppoesedly from some island and can only be collected every 3 years. I was just wondering if anyone else had them or knows more than I do about them!

Nah man its just a ricordea with a different color to it . I have seen that morph a bunch its nothing special .

I am not saying its bad but chances are they put the name on it and probably charged more .

Yeah I know It looks like a normal fla orange ric but no green mouth in the center. I have always wondered why they were so expensive and wanted to know if it was just part of the name game or something else

Yeah probably I see alot of ricordeas all the time and nobody really names them other then red green blue rainbow etc .... Thats pretty high 40 a eye especially in florida .

i have a bunch of florida rics....some has green mouth,,,but most i have has pink mouth and base..and i have some rainbows too and some has interesting colors like blue with orange dots and some all blue and light pinks......some dont have colors on mouth either,some can morph in different colors when put in a lot of light which i like on florida ricordeas.......what u have is a florida ricordea as far as i know,anyone can correct me if im wrong....
if u paid $40 for 1 three years ago then i think thats the going price back then....yours have really nice bright color so its like an ultra ricordea
