Haha, I'm surprised you haven't already got them, it came from your friend/vendor you were hanging out with at the NVR swap.
Hey power to you if you can get people to pay those high prices per polyp. But it still blows my mind the people are willing to pay. It's crazy what hype can do. I'm just not a fan of how some reefers find a "new" zoa/paly and think it deserves a crazy price tag. When the pink halluciniation 'came out' and people were charging 80pp, I just went to the local fish store and paid $20 for 4p(they were even calling it a pink hallucination). When the donatello/a came out I went to the same place and paid $10pp. Before the original hallucination was really popular I picked it up for $40pp. I just hate to see this new trend of reefers paying absurd amounts for single polyps because of someone claiming its exclusive and rare.
Whoever bids on that is getting majorly screwed over, that thong is under actinics and is probably photoshopped.Distraction!!! Who is bidding on this master piece???

They have it on display at MACNA so maybe someone there can get a shot of it.

And I would add to this people who buy Golden Basket eBay zoas, cut them up and try to resell single polyps for more then the auction price for the colony
Not only are they hyping up the zoa to make money but are hoping the purchaser doesn't know how common they really are now

The value I see in this thread is that it may spread the word about this practice, and people can start to recognize it for what it is
Then if they still choose to buy well ...
Here's a picture from the macna picture thread

you realize this is what fish stores do right? lol buy low, sell high.. gotta make a profit...
How do u like it?
I did not purchase it and it is not my picture. I did see it at their booth and it was a very impressive piece. Would I personally spend 2k? Most likely not, but I can easily see how someone that is into plates could drop that kind of money.
I still don't understand what is the argument about? People buy an item because they like it and can afford it. A plain white t-shirt can cost $350 at Gucci but $20 at Old Navy. Are u going to file a lawsuit against Gucci because their price is being too high for u??? If u bought your hallucination at 40pp then good for you, but for those who paid 200pp hallucination that was really their business. They bought it because they wanted it and were willing to pay that kind of price tag. Just like peep was paying 600 for the Krakatoa at the previous auction lol.
I dnt like gucci I like Louis Vuitton better lol!
