My Hawkins had some goo all over it this morning I took a flash pic and it is fine. Something must of spawned in my tank and it got caught up in the Hawkins I guess. Anyway after looking at the pic I took a few more of some of my corals. I only used my phone but I thought they were prety cool anyway! All of the lights were off when I took them.

Hawkins with the stuff caught in it

Nice pics man... If you got that kinda color with flash without flash must be crazy colorful. But i have seen such mucus from Fighting corals....

Thanks cool brawler would love to see some more of these! I found it helps to lay the phone flat on the glass to prevent the glare.

Thanks forgot all about these pics definitely love to see some more!

Little dots near the axial corallite, color that is off, poor polyp extension (partial in your case), thin tissue. Interceptor if you can find a vet to prescribe it.

there nothing to freak out about- they wont kill a coral like aefw will and are more easily taken care of. us as stick heads have gone through them many times- interceptor if they still make it( I was reading somewhere that they may have stopped making it) will take care of them but may disorient or kill shrimps in your tank.

If you zoom in on your first two pics you can see the yellow speck with the black/ red dot that is them. First pic almost dead center.

Like mentioned not a huge deal but can aggravate acros if they get out of control. If you can find some interceptor it works like a champ tough part may be finding the interceptor nowadays.

Thanks for the help. Think I found some! Would a regular coral dip with all the acros work? Will they affect montiporas?

Yes and if you only have a couple of acros that are easy to take out interceptor may not be needed. Just take them out and dip like once a week until you no longer see them. The bayer like mentioned is a good dip as well just be sure to rinse them well in fresh saltwater before returning to the tank. Good luck.
