hey all!
I installed an hob skimmer on my tank last night and it's putting a ton of micro bubbles. I thought my wrasse had jumped out but I found him hiding under a rock instead of waiting to be fed.
He's acting lethargic and just half blowing in the current half swimming.
I've had him for 3 months. No sign of ich or anything.
Could it be the micro bubbles that's causing these issues with him? It happened within 24 hours of putting that skimmer on. I've tried filter pads to eliminate the bubbles but nothing's working.
Any advice?

You can try soaking the skimmer in something like Prime...maybe that will help it break in.

The microbubbles don't have any physical affect on the wrasse. The activity and disruption of the tank is what is causing it's change in behavior.

An aquarium sponge beneath the skimmer outlet.

Ive tried the sponge, it wont stay-falls off or floats up :(
