Woke up this morning and saw my flasher wrasse on the sand. It wasn't laying on it's side but just resting on the bottom which is abnormal for this guy because it's always swimming all over the tank. Noticed some of the fins are frayed and it's color is off and mottled. All the fish get along and are healthy so I know it's not aggression or sickness. Looked up the lifespan of these wrasses, 5 - 8 years so it's about right for it since I've had it for 5 years now. This will be the first fish I lost to old age.

Evening

Sorry to hear. How is he doing, or did you loose him. Sounds like you take great care of him for a long time.

Thanks, unfortunately he didn't make it. He was getting worse so instead of suffering I euthanized him. I can't feel bad because I've lost fish to jumping and sickness but this is will be the first to die of old age.
