my yellow tang started to flash today. should i be worried? i dont see any spots. except an incredibly small one on a pectoral fin but idk if its just an imperfection. perams are ammonia 0 nitrite o natrate 20 ppm. phos .25 ppm added an anemone for temporary care a week ago from friends crashed tank its doing well. no other fish are exibiting issues.

flashing or scratching against rocks, sand or other objects is usually a sign of parasites bothering a fish. The question is.... is this fish just scratching an itch? Or is there a parasite involve and which one?

How long have you had him?
Did you QT him and your other fish?
Is he targeting his gills? Or just the body in general?
Is he doing it often or have you only seen it once?
Can you get a picture showing the one tiny spot?

yes was qt for 2 weeks. dosed qt with melafix when added him. it was only for a few minutes and it seemed more like it was targeting its tail and back portion of the left side ill try to get a pic

Picture will help, but usually flashing involves an external parasite. I believe that when you get your anemone from your friend you brought a parasite with it.
Do you notice any other symptoms that might give the parasite away.

Keep an eye on the white spot that you identified and it is dissappears in a few days it is most likely ich. Should see the number of white spots in several more days if it is ich

Im on my phone so photo is really small, is that white spot? I can see one on the bottom fin too. Its probably ich or velvet, if thats the case remove all fish from tank and run fallow for 76 days, in the mean time treat the fish with coppe or chloroquine phosphate for 30 days depending on the fish stock you have. I would check for flukes too.

Did tou quarantine the fish, any new fish added to tank? Any other symptoms or odd behaviors?
