What is this? Do I want it in my tank or not?

It is hard and has a soft bit connecting it to the snail (pretty much it looks like a slug with a bit of rock for a hat)

It seems this one snail has 2 hitchhikers.
The point of the shell is rougher than the rest, and the bit circled is alive, it retreats into the shell if i poke it.
