Going along with all the weird crap that happens in the reef tank at night, I noticed a healthy population of this particular pod on my glass. At least I think it's a pod. They are flat, oblong disc shaped crustaceans that occasionally hop off the glass to the sand bed, seem to be all around the bottom edge of the tank. Extremely small, like smaller than the period in a sentence. pic of the shells is for reference, they are the small whiteish discs.

It appears they are hanging out in algae on your glass so that makes me think they are not harmful. They don’t look like flatworms. Maybe baby chitons? What do you think @KJ

Yea they're definitely on the algae, they don't move very fast like copepods, some would detach from the glass and kind of float to the bottom.

Ostracod likely as also looks like limpet but behavior you describe says ostro

Look like Isopod.

I have those in my tank as well. I believe they’re limpets. They have tiny conical shells on them. They come out at night or in the sump and eat algae off the glass. They’re fairly strong for their size and limpets hold on to the glass and rocks with a muscle so take them off slowly if you don’t want to hurt them.
