Odd angle but it might be a Stomatella, harmless.

Stomatella was my thought based on the title too, but that doesn't look like a stomatella to me. Maybe it is just an odd angle .
Side view picture would make it clear.

thanks, hes in a weird spot right now to try to get a side picture, maybe when the lights go off tonight he will move and I can get a better one.

Until then, you can lookup images of stomatella snails and see if they match what you see.
The bulky shell and lack of visible "skirt" makes me think its something else. (but as pointed out earlier, pictures can deceive)

Maybe a baby tropical abalone. That's my guess. Does it have those dots down the side of it like in the picture.

Maybe even Sea louse

I can’t see any tiny dots but if it get bigger it might get some. Thanks for the reply.

Yeah bud I am stumped on this one. Part of picking from the wild. Hopefully it is safe. Stomatella honestly is the best guesses so far. I will do a little more digging if someone can't help, because I am really interested to know what it is.

I don't have a guess on this one, but if it is an abalone - they're awesome. Total algae destroyers.

ALSO! I see you're new! Welcome to R2R :)

Does not look like a stomatella. Shell is too large and head is wrong shape. Funky looking.
+1 isn't Stomatella. Can you give us other photo from the top ? and do you see the shell when is on LR to go curly like ? If it look it's a Chiton SP. to me

@KJ ?

@SHNICI that's a great person to tag.
