ive noticed in my frag tank flat worms however I don’t know if these particular ones are bad. I’ve seen white/pale color on the glass but more recently these very dark colored one that I tried to take pics of with a macro lens. They appear dark grey/brownish in color, not the red color which are a problem.

I've never dealt with ones like pictured; however, I would try to eradicate. #reefsquad?

Any one else have ideas what these flat worms are? Here are a couple better pics. The ones on the plugs appear darker but that could just be the color of the plug

I got flatworm exit and did a test in a bucket to see how many drop it would take to kill them. At 8x the dose it was effective(sort of). They never really seemed to die but rather slow down or come to a stop. I ended up putting in the entire bottle to my frag tank which is about 45 gal and that was about 6-7 drop per gallon if you do the math. I don’t know what the heck type of worms I have but this exit doesn’t seem effective. I attached a better pic also just to confirm.

Levamisole (if I spelled it right) works great. Kills them fast but treat like few exit. Be ready for large water change and run carbon.

I don’t understand this sentence can you clarify “kills them fast but treat like few exit.”

Flat worm exit is supposed to kill them quickly also so whatever worms I have seem resistant to this stuff

I had them years ago, flatworm exit didnt do it. Levamisole did the trick. Will have to repeat after a week or so when eggs hatch.

How much and how long did you let the flat work exit work when you did use it?
Do you have a link to a specific Levamisole product for these worms?

I cant copy the link but subaquaria has it. There is also a lot on Ebay. I don't remember how long it let it sit in the tank as it's been years since I treated.

Kills the flatworms, they release toxins. When using flatworm exit it recommended to do water change.
Also states to run carbon as soon as flatworms start to die. I've heard many horror stories from simply neglecting to run carbon after dosing FWE.
