I've been wondering why my torch has been not as fully extended as usual for the past week. Upon closer look I found a flatworm on it today and removed it. I immediately dipped it in coral rx.

After holding the torch in my hands I can see a small portion has started to recede.

Can Torches usually get better in these situations?

What should i do moving forward? Would it be wise to continually dip it every 2 days with coral rx to ensure the worms/or eggs come off?

Evening,

Hate those things.

I would put the coral back where it was, if it was doing good there prior. How do you think that got in there? You may want to redip in a day or 2, or treat the tank depending on where we think the flat worm came from and if there are more. Try and look closely around to see if you can spot others.

I've placed it back there an hour who. I purchased some frags a couple of days ago so I think that may be the cause. It was a very big one. Hoping it hasn't been there for long too breed! I actually plan to redip it in about 5 hours time depending if it's opening up from its usual spot.

The six line wrasse was lined up to be my next addition despite this flatworm arriving, so it's a good thing. Just not sure how aggressive these fellas are. Having mixed responses.

Will be trying to spot more that's for sure.

Sorry to hear this...what are your parameters?

Any big swings?
No big swings. By big. What do you consider big?

My alk usually fluctuates between 7 - 7.8 within the week. I usually try maintain it at this level.
