I have noticed roughly 10 flatworms on my glass, and rather than cry about it like I felt like doing, I'd like to act immediately and get rid of them. I siphoned out the ones that I saw and ordered Flatworm Exit that should arrive tomorrow. I bought extra carbon and will have water on hand for a water change afterwards. I don't feel that I have an infestation big enough to worry about toxic die off, but this is my first time treating and battling these. I'm not comfortable just sucking out the ones that I see and I want the satisfaction of the chemical to nuke them all lol, before I do have an infestation. Am I doing the right thing? Are there any precautions other than the possible die off that I should be aware of? I only have a 10 gallon, and adding a wrasse or other natural predator is not an option for me.

I am on my 5th treatment with FW Exit and still battling (red planaria). It sounds like your plan is solid, just to be on the safe side you might want some prime on standby just in case. If you see them on your glass you probably have some in your rocks and substrate your not seeing. Good luck with your battle. :)

Nice tank!

Do you know what type of flatworms you have? Not all flatworms are bad. Here is a link that might help with an ID and some info:)

I've read that the rust colored ones are the bad ones, I am not sure what mine are. They look more white, but I still am alarmed that there were none two weeks ago, and now they are there and multiplying, it can't be good thing.
