Hey guys so my tank was full of red planaria flatworms, 3 days ago I took out my rocks with corals glued on to them and dipped all the rock in freshwater and swiveled it to kill the flat worms then I put the rocks back in my tank. My gem tang didn’t like that too much and it suddenly got cloudy eyes, so I did a 20% water change. All my fish were fine and eating. Today I decided to finally use flatworm exit, I turned everything off but I guess my apex didn’t want to turn my UV off! Smh.. anyways I didnt know untill after the flatworm exit treatment. Even with the Uv on, flatworms were dying left and right. after about a hour I put carbon on and did a big water change about 30-40% and that’s when I realized my UV was on the whole time. All my fish are acting fine expect my powder blue and gem tang which are hiding behind my rocks and not doing much, they’re not eating as well.

Should I just let them be and see how they do in a few hours or should I do another big water change?

If you suspect worms are still dying, a water change might be in order. And more fresh carbon. Or it might just be the rocks being moved have freaked them out

Flat worm exit is not recommended for tanks that are filled with flatworms more of beginning to be infested because when they die they release toxins which may be upsetting your fish, like Lapin said do a water change and add fresh carbon

I don’t see any more worms dying now, so I’m hoping it’s just the rocks and hopefully they’ll be ok soon. I’ll add some more carbon just in case
