So I’m starting to see large patches of red planeria flatworms in my tank they seem to only be where some patches of alge are and move on when the alge is gone.

Im not worried about 100% elimination but am looking for a way to control numbers without using chemicals if at all possible. any inverts or fish that would be suitable for a 30 gallon that eat them and would co exist with 2 oclilaris clowns a pink spotted watchman goby and a blood fire shrimp?

Also happy to consider/try any other natural methods.

What will eat them:
Wrasses:
6 line
Yellow coris
Lunare
Melanurus

blue velvet nudibranch

siphon as many as you can with 3/8” tubing and discard
Look also fir presence of eggs which are tiny

Good luck is the first to my mind .
There are videos in here using a airline , with one end tied inside a nylon ( panty hose )
Sit it in your sump . With the other end in the display start sucking out as many as you can see .
They are the devil . Almost impossible to get rid of if not using chemicals .

the advantage of your system
Being 30 gal a large water change is possible .

if you can find blue velvet nudi add a few .
wrasses are hit or miss .
green spotted mandarin , springeri damsels supposedly eat them .

it was almost a year from when I first noticed them .
and one day I noticed … they’re gone .

Thanks for the options, Green Mandarin seems like a good choice awesome looking fish and have heaps of pods that im sure it would enjoy as well.

Unfortunately there is no where here really to buy any little critters like pods nudis, your just lucky to get them as hitchhikers, which lead to my bad practice of not dipping any corals and that got me loads of stoma snails and micro brittle stars, unfortunately at the other end flat worms and aipstasia (lucky got on top of that fast), oh and the other little starfish but my goby eats them so never too many.

Would a wrasse work long term in a 30 gallon? haven't done too much research on them but my understanding was in general most need a 50 gallon or larger
