Flatworm on hammer got me a good deal

I was shopping at my lfs and I noticed in their frag tank they had an awful outbreak of flatworm absolutely covering their hammers and frogspawn. I helped them identify it and treat it and as payment they gave me a golden hammer with 5 heads and 4 baby heads for 50 bucks. Hopefully they get the outbreak under control because this didnt occur until they bought some hammers from a local reef keeper getting out of the hobby. Best of luck to them and I'm glad I could help them take care of the issue

30 min dip in seachem reef dip. They all fell off relatively quick, plus a quick fw dip. And just as backup I do plan on buying some flatworm medicine to broadcast in the tank. After looking at the frag after the dip I could not see any signs of the worms (this was paired with a flashlight and a magnifying glass) hundreds of worms fell of this one frag it was insane. The frag is of course not in my normal tank it is in a 10g tank that only has a kenya tree coral in it

Those look like red planaria. I've been dropping in a 2 drops of of flatworm exit when I dip coral because the dips out there don't always kill them.

I'm not sure that's them. They were a very very light tan. No signs or orange or red whatsoever.

Yeah. Red planaria is like a rusty brown color. Pretty good deal on that piece though. I would have jumped on it to.

Hopefully you got the eggs out too. This can be a potential nightmare. If not, you did well but holy moly- I would have ran out the door !!

Worst comes to worst this tank is pretty fallow I'll be able to nuke it with flatworm exit if I see even one of the buggers
I'd love for it to go in my main reef tank but I have way to much money of coral in it to even risk. I'll wait a few months before adding it
