Flatworm?

I feel like I’m on this thread way too often. I feel like I conquer one thing for another to come up. I’ve dip all my frags religiously, but don’t QT them. This is what I get I suppose. Any ID on these little critters? Super tiny and hard to get a photo of, but I suspect some type of flatworm.

The shape is right for a flatworm... Do you have any predators in your tank? Wrasses?

Unfortunately DT is fallow at the moment for ich, but I do have a yellow coris on order from Dr Reefs.

I’m just hoping it’s not the dreaded AEFM. I might try some flatworm exit since the DT is fallow anyway.

Springeri damsels, certain wrasses will eat it. Siphon them out if they are on the glass.

Looks like I’ll have to add a couple springeri damsels to my order. I’ve shyed away from damsels in the past, but it seems like those are fairly peaceful as far as damsels go?

I've had 3 springeri damsels. Their behaviour can be comparitive to that of a royal gramma basslet. The one I have right now is more like a firefish. They will bicker amoung each other, though. How big is your tank?

Bummer. I’ve had bad luck with royal grammas as well, one who constantly harassed my pair of small clowns.

I actually should have worded it better, I know everyone has different experiences with fish. I should've kept that in mind. What I meant to say is that they are quite peaceful! How big is your tank?

Yeah, a springeri damsel will be good in that tank since they have plenty of room. They are an outlier in the damsel world. I love them personally!

From the shape, it does not appear to be an AEFW.

Good to know! After a bit of searching, they seem closest to rust brown flatworms.

Melanarus wrasse is a superior flatworm eater IME.
