Flatworms?

They are ~2mm long and appear to be eating algae off the glass. Friend or foe?

Yep. Fish like 'em. I like to kill them with flatworm exit. Smoosh one on the glass, all if it's parts will keep moving. An infestation can effect coral.
I only have a lawnmower blenny and a firefish at the moment. Neither are interested. I have a couple of wrasses on my stocking list that I might be moving up though. :D

Interesting. My firefish comes out of his hole and picks them off of the glass. I tried to add a carpenter wrasse. He made it through the cover. But he was specifically for flat worms and colonial worms. Flat work exit handled both, mostly.

Dang I wish mine would. He picks pods off the glass, but ignores the flatworms of course.
