I came home from work this evening and began my evening tank inspection and algae cleaning. I discovered a LOT of small flat worms hanging out on the front glass. I can only imagine there are LOTS more I can't see on the LR and sand bed.
This is my fowlr/softie tank so I am not worried for any coral safety, but am afraid they are in my mixed reef nano too.
They only thing these tanks have ever shared was a gorgonian, so it is possible the infestation is spread between both tanks.
I will try and get a pic up shortly.
UGH!!!

Buy a sixline they love those things ive also heard of some mandarins eating them as well.

Sent from inside the shark tank!

Flat Worm Exit works wonderfully. Buying live stock is a big gamble and then your stuck with something you may not want.

Not really wanting to add a 6 line (can get kinda mean), and certainly not a mandarin in such a young tank.

Melanurus wrasse works well. Beautiful, Friendly, And will eat the flatworms and bristleworms... It was the first fish I added to my tank after the cycle.

Beautiful fish for sure. Thanks for the suggestions everyone.

FlatwormXit should work to help clear it up. Tohelp avoid future flatoworm problems, I dip all my new corals in an iodine bathlike Tropic Marin Pro Coral Cure before introducing them into my tank.Understandably I get a bit paranoid about introducing things like flatwormsinto my display tanks.

Long over due update. The melanurus wrasse did indeed do the trick. I have also stopped seeing any bristle worm activity so think he has cleaned those up as well. Sadly he has a taste for emerald green crabs, and small blue legged hermits too....luckily he is leaving my fire shrimp alone. He and the coral beauty seem to have a true love hate relationship going

the very color full blue nudibranch eats them all and then he dies after he cleans your tank.

Can you tell me what these flatworms on your front glass look like? I've recently posted in another thread some description and a photo. One kind soul posted that they were Copepods. They are nearly microscopic in size and I'm worried they are flatworms.
