Flatworms

Hi all. A few months ago I noticed a couple of flatworms in my tank so I used flatworm exit. Unfortunately it didn’t work so I did it a second time and nothing. Now I have a yellow coris wrasse. Now I have way more flatworms than before. Any one have any advice on how to get rid of these annoying pests?!?

1. How big is your tank (more wrasse potentially)
2. apparently spotted mandarins eat flatworms but Im sceptical of this.
3. trying to physically remove them can't hurt but it might irritate corals or fish

Yellow coris, meh. Try lunare or melanurus wrasse as well as 6 lined

I have a 200 gallon. I siphoned as much as I could but still found some after the treatment.

can you get any or all of the rocks out?

When I xfered from a 60 to 120 I had a pretty serious flatworm infestation. Here is what I did to completely eliminate them....

Piece by Piece I took the rock out and placed in a 5 gallon bucket with old tank water and a double dose of flatworm exit. Let it sit for 10 - 15 minutes.

Pick up, Shake off, dump a few cups of fresh tank water over it to try to wash off as many dead ones as possible.

Put the rock back in a tank that had a Yellow Coris Wrasse in it.

I did that to most of the rock.

it's been over 18 months, the wrasse has been gone for at least 6 months and I have never seen another flatworm.

Be honest I use flatworm exit and it done great for me. If it didn't work. a wrasse or shipon out what you can.

Not sure what else does.

Water quality in general will assist in reducing them. Up the flow and strive for pristine water. They won’t last.

+1 on Mandarin eating flatworms. Mine does a good job of getting rid of them. Hunts them down just like he hunts the pods.
