Hello,

Anyone have any idea what the brown spots could be on that blue mushroom? I dipped this coral before putting it in my display. I am deathly afraid of flatworms.

I retract my statement!!! I though you meant the spots on the rock, I didn't even see the ones on the coral!

No idea what those are. Possibly flatworms.

Think it's just algae. . . looks like the dry rock is maturing to me. . . I could be totally wrong though.
I tried turkey basting it off and nothing would come off. If it were flatworms they would have flew off correct?

Yes, they would have flown off and siphoned off. Appears to be diatom or light bacterial but ideally would be pics under white lighting which will help assess better

Did you dip all corals the same way, how old is your aquarium :)
Coral rx.... dipped them all the same way.... coral was in the dip for 6 minutes..... tank is very new ..... less than 3 months.... I am going through a small alage bloom.... diatoms nothing crazy.....

Anything at bottom of your coral dip 'container' I use coral Rx with 3 X containers, dip, rinse and rinse
