Flesh coming off acro??? Help

Sorry for the angle I don't know why it uploaded like that. The tip straiget above the crab

Who really knows why Acropora experiences RTN (rapid tissue necrosis). That looks like a maricultured piece?

Yes it is. The other branch it was stuck with looks great and I remember at one point it looked like they were fighting.. is that a possible cause?

In my experience my maricultured pieces are the very first to go with the smallest changes in params. Alk swing is my guess...

Mili's are sensitive enough as it is, maricultured ones are a no-no for me!

Yup I will not buy maricultured milleopora after experiencing STN to most pieces I purchased.

Ahhh my alk is 6.4!! So far my tank has been up since last May and I've only done water changes with red sea and red sea coral pro. I've always been afraid of dosing and screwing it up

I'm going to do a 10-15gal water change with coral pro so that water will have an alk of around 13. How much should that change the alk in my 150+sump?

That won't change it much but if you have other sps in the system, a .5 dkh increase could cause harm. I would slowly dose it back up with about 20-25 ml a day (if using 2 part). Get it up to around 8.5 and test weekly to be sure it stays there. No sudden changes. Likely the RTN will kill that milli. Don't rush changes and kill it all.

From what I calculated it should bring it up to 6.95. So add 25 ml of each a and b? Lots of other acros all doing well

Here's a few

^ Those are nice.

Is that right for a part A and part B? Or should I just buffer the top off? I have red sea reef foundation A Ca Sr Ba, Coral Colors halogens A and reef foundation B buffer. How do I use them in what proportions?
