Flex 15

Is anyone running a nano reef in a Fluval Flex 15.5 gallon? The box says for "Freshwater".

The Fluval Flex has been converted to saltwater, however if you do an Internet search you will find that the two concerns are lighting and lower flow. Some people have done a light swap, but if you haven't bought the tank yet and that is the size that you want then you may want to consider the EVO 13.5 or one of the Innovative Marine Nuvo Fusion tanks. Good luck!

Thanks PR. I do already have the tank. I have been advised about lighting and pump upgrades, so that is consistent information. I am still waffling on getting back into the hobby after a tank disaster with a 32 gallon cube. I am going to take it slow. I appreciate your response!

The flex is pretty interesting and unique. I wonder if you could do softies with the stock light.

In addition to the freshwater light not being particularly bright, the kelvin rating is more in line with growing plants so you would run the risk of promoting algae.
